Our birds of prey call the George C. McGough Nature Park their home. These birds have injuries or conditions that prevent their return to the wild, but they live colorful lives with us at the park as ambassadors for their species. Not only do they team up with volunteers to reach out and educate, the birds also provide a therapeutic experience for wounded veterans through the Avian Veteran Alliance.
We are financially responsible for the Birds of Prey program. Your donations are what helps keep us going. The Friends of the Largo Nature Parks is a 501(c) 3 organization registered with the State of Florida, and - yes - your donation is tax deductible within context of the law.
